Alabama students are throwing "Covid parties," inviting other students known to be virus positive, and then gambling on which of the uninfected attendees will be the first stricken with the virus. How insane is that?

The parties are reported to be in Tuscaloosa, thus suggesting students involved in the events are from the University of Alabama, which is located in that city. If so, it certainly doesn't speak well for the institution.

If you're young and healthy and you catch the virus, there's a good chance you will survive. But the chance isn't 100 percent, either. Don't be an idiot and invite trouble. How hard is that?
