I finally broke down and bought a new set last week. I was tired of babying the intermittently inoperative washer and the more recently tetchy dryer.
So I shopped around and played one vendor against another and landed an obscenely good deal. Getting quotes in writing is a great way to get a seller to lowball the price. Do that three or four times and you take a lot of the advertised price.
It will take me a while to get used to the new washer. It's a "smart" machine that does things like load adjusting, so it seems to stop and start numerous times, but that's the way it's supposed to work.
Now I'm trying to decide if I should wash all the clothes we use because, at the end, the old washer wasn't doing a very good job and getting out all the soap. Or should I just wait until we wear them again, and then give them a good clean after that.
